11 Months Old

As you can tell, this little 11 month old is getting into EVERYTHING!!!

I can't believe that this is my last post before the big 1 year mark. Where has the time gone? Last year at this time I was already off on maternity leave and anxiously awaiting her arrival. I was so excited and couldn't wait to meet my little girl. We finally decided to name her Lily Helene and it just seemed to fit her even before I met her. I would say her name and she would wiggle and kick inside me...almost giving her approval of her sweet name.

Here's the latest on Lily:

- Crawling at lightening speed.

- Getting into everything .

- I have to vacuum daily as she will see a teeny tiny speck of something and it will immediately go into her mouth.

- Starting to pull up on things. She will get up on her knees and bounce. At times she will put one foot on the ground trying to push herself up.

- If something makes her unhappy she will cover her eyes with her hands and cry. If sitting on the floor she will bend at the waist and put her forehead on the ground but she'll peek at you too to see if you're watching.

- Eating more table food and wants a bite of anything that you have.

- Wearing 12 month clothes.

- Still wearing size 3 diapers.

- Her feet are growing and all little size 2 shoes are too small now.

- Her hair is growing too. In the back it's getting longer and when wet it's got a little curl to it.

- Doesn't like the sippy cup so we're back to bottles for the moment. I need to try some different ones to see which is going to work for her.

- Says mum-mum (mommy), daaaaa-deee or daaaa (daddy), illlllll (Will), ba (ball) and doooo, which we think is for dog. Poor little Hayden doesn't have a sound for him yet.

- Loves to pet our dog Fritz and will squeal and shriek with excitement.

- Loves to play patty-cake

- Anytime she hears music she bounces and dances or claps her hands

- A champion bathtub water splasher

- Gives all 4 of us slobbery kisses on the cheek. (Hayden hates it though and claims she spits on him every time...hee-hee)

- A top tooth is now poking through. When she smiles you can see it now and it appears that another is coming through soon. She has a grand total of 2 1/2 teeth.
