Hayden

This little guy is the comic relief for this family. He's hysterical and so sweet!! I love you.

10 Months Old

Lily turned 10 months old on 1/14 and with all the things going on with selling our home and purchasing a new home, I realized I didn't post my monthly update. Bad mommy!!!

Here's information about our girl:

- Started crawling on Monday, 1/19. She is SO cute as she just sort of shuffles along at the moment.

- Beginning to eat more food and not so much baby food. Wants a bite of anything on my plate or anything that I put in my mouth.

- Starting to outgrow her 9 month clothes. She still has tiny feet though.

- Beginning to get upset if told no or if things don't go her way. She'll bend at the waist and lay her head down and whimper.

- Anytime she hears music she will bounce and dance.

- Says mum-mum and da when she wants one of us.

- Giggles hysterically when she is able to pet Fritz, our yorkie poo dog.

- Still has stranger anxiety and will hold onto you tightly if she's unsure in a situation.

- Doesn't like hair bows or hats on her head. She'll try to pull it off.

- She gives a "flirt smile" and will blink her eye lashes, tilt her head and give a little innocent smile.

- Loves her brothers and smiles and laughs at them. Will gets the big grins and Hayden tries to make her laugh.

- At her 9 1/2 month doctor appointment she was at 20.2 lbs and 29 inches long.

- Only has two teeth. Her top gums look a little pink, but no teeth have poked through yet.

An Offer - Sold??

Last night we got a written offer on our house. Of course you would like to have the full asking price but it was a good offer. They were asking for the workbench that we have in the garage but we signed an offer back stating we would accept the price but we didn't want to leave it. I think sometimes people just ask for everything just to see if they'll get it.

They've already been approved for a loan and within 10 days our house will have the inspection. By the way it looks, we have our house sold. I'm excited and nervous too. Even with economy bad, it took only 3 weeks and two days to have an offer and a good offer at that.

I'll post more once it's a done deal.

Pure Sweetness

Those who know me well are aware of my little obsession with knitting and crochet. I came across this hat on another blog that I frequent and isn't this the most adorable hat? Wow!! This is just pure sweetness and would look perfect for a little girl. The designer is Susan B. Anderson and I sure hope she posts the directions on how to make it as I LOVE IT!!

Also, I just wanted to tell Kristin and Sherry that it was so much fun all of us being together last night. I love you both and so happy to call you my friends.

Tomorrow is our first open house. I hope we get a good response and many people come by. We spoke with the realtor today and the internet hits have doubled. Maybe this means an offer will be coming soon as we're to close on our new house in 5 1/2 weeks. I hope it's warmed up by then too. It's so cold at the moment.....Brrrr!!

TinkerBell

For the past few weeks, Hayden has seen the commercial for the TinkerBell movie. Each time it comes on he tells me that he likes her and really, really wants to see the movie.

This past weekend we purchased the DVD. It's an adorable movie. Hayden sat very still, giggled and was totally engrossed in the movie. When it was over he came to me and said "Mommy, I lub (love) nee-kerbell (Tinkerbell). She pretty mommy."

I think he has a crush on her as he's told us several times that he lubs (loves) her. Now his favorite moves are Cars, Nemo, TinkerBell and "that mouse" which is actually the movie Ratatouille.

Happy Anniversary

Today Anders and I celebrate our 9th Wedding Anniversary.

When we met I didn't know what this single guy would think of me being divorced with a very young little boy. He would be going from bachelorhood to having an instant family. I never will forget what he told me while we were dating...he said "What that man didn't want, I do. I want a wife and a family." I knew he was the one for Will and I.

I love him for being such a great dad to Will and adopting him and giving him his name. When we married Will was only 3 1/2 years old. Will has said he doesn't every remember dad (Anders) not ever being there.

Then all the years of infertility issues and we finally were able to have Hayden. I knew the love and commitment he had towards Will but to see him with a newborn baby. My love just grew even more for him. Then our wonderful surprise, Lily, this spring. To see him love his baby girl. You couldn't ask for a child to have a better daddy. He's hands on and spends time with them and they adore him.

On this day 9 years ago I loved him but on this day I love him so much more. I hope we have many more years together. I love you!!

2009

The year 2008 was a really big year for me and our family

In March we were thrilled to have Lily join this family. We couldn't even begin to imagine life without her with us. She's such a joy and I just love our family of five.

The change of leaving my job after so many years. It was a hard decision but one that turned out for the best. I'd not been happy for quite awhile and sometimes it's just time to move on without looking back.

Then at the end of this year we found a new house and also put our current home up for sale. Today makes 1 week it's been on the market and interest is generating, which is a very positive sign to us that it will hopefully sell soon.

In 2009 I have goals that I want to achieve and it seems if you write them down and have them in front of you, you're reminded to continue with them.

1. Continue to serve Jehovah God with whole devotion and be a positive example to my children and to others.

2. Get to feeling better. This past month I've not felt good and still don't. I don't want to be a whine or make others concerned but in my gut I feel something is wrong. I need to get to the bottom of it and feel better. My blood pressure is giving me concern and last night I lost some of my vision in my one eye again.

3. Begin Weight Watchers. Before Hayden and after Hayden I lost a lot of weight on the program and was at my goal. I can do it again and know I can. I just need to be motivated and keep my motivation. I can't use the excuse of "I've just had a baby" much longer.

4. No longer purchase scrapbook items till I use what I have. I have a tendency to get side-lined by the pretty paper and embellishments. Be more thrifty. Also, do one layout a week.

5. By fall, I hope to have a little home business. I'm working on it at the moment and need to practice and get things in order. This I will keep private till it's time. :-)

6. Plant a garden this spring.

7. Get a planner and write down daily goals too. With working odd hours, sometimes I forget what all needs to be done.

8. Don't be so critical of myself. I'm not perfect and I can't be super-mom either. It's ok to say no sometimes.

9. Save monthly for our trip in January 2010 to Disney World.

10. Eat more healthy and power walk 3-4 times per week.

I Want To Go Too!!

Lily was watching Daddy and the boys getting ready to leave. You can tell that she thought she was going too. She was one unhappy little girl once she saw them go out the door and realized they had left her.
