Missouri Botanical Gardens
A few weeks ago while in St. Louis, Lily and I went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It was BEAUTIFUL. I'd love to go back in the spring to see all the flowers in bloom. It was such a peaceful place to visit.

18 Months Old
I'm a little late in posting but Lily turned 18 months old on September 14. I can't believe that my baby girl is 1 1/2 years old. Where is the time going?!?! I want it to slow down.
These are just a few pictures from the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis. I went with hopes of getting some good pictures but his little girl was on the move non-stop.
I'll post more pictures later on this week. This was a beautiful place to visit. I can only imagine the beauty in the springtime when everything is in full bloom.

I Want to Play Too
On this night at the soccer field it was a warm humid evening and Lily was a hot little girl. She enjoys watching big brother Will play. I don't think she can actually figure out which player is him but when they clap and cheer, she will stop and do the same.
She was content to play with her soccer ball for awhile but then decided to run off to the empty field behind us. Only a few more years Lily!!

#6 - Central Cubs Soccer
Will is playing soccer this fall for Central High School Cubs Soccer. He does a great job and he's a really good player!! He's a starter and has scored a few goals this season. We really enjoy watching him play.
On this night they were playing against Evansville Day School. Unfortunately, the Cubs lost but they gave a great effort.

Breast Cancer
Breast cancer...you hear about it often, especially this time of year when the Susan G. Komen walk is quickly approaching here in Evansville. You hear about it when you go for your annual physical, you see articles in magazines and you see numerous items which donate money to find a cure.
This condition now refers to someone I love. My sister-in-law Melissa was diagnosed yesterday with breast cancer. She will have to have a double mastectomy and chemo.
My heart is heavy. At this point we all just have to wait, hope and pray.

Shopping for a Little Girl
After having two boys, I knew that I was going to be in trouble when I found out I was having a girl. I just LOVE shopping for her. There are so many cute things! I think she likes it too as she did so good tonight. It was a girls night out. Plus I got Lily her own Build-A-Bear puppy and play phone. Hopefully she will leave Hayden's puppy, Woof-Woof, alone now.
I got things for fall and winter. Everything is just so adorable. I went to Gymboree, Old Navy and Crazy 8. We got shirts, leggings, shoes, jacket and even a little pink tu-tu skirt. She has some cute things to wear to the meeting. I love little girls in tights and dress shoes.
The one thing I can't buy yet is hair accessories. Her hair isn't long enough and it's so thin and wispy. Here's a sampling of some of the things I got for her.
