4 Months Old and Growing

We went to the Pediatrician today and Lily is growing, growing and growing!! She weighed in at 13 lbs. and 14 oz. and is 24 3/4 inches long. She's average on her weight but in the 80th. percentile on height.

I can't believe that in 4 short months that she's gained 6 lbs. 10oz. and grew 5 inches. I think that her eyes are going to remain blue gray and she's going to have dark hair. Her little head is getting fuzzy in the front and what is coming in is dark brown.

I just thought I'd share some of my favorite pictures of Lily over the past two weeks. Yes, she's got a little bathing suit on and her sun hat. Plus a picture of her blowing spit bubbles. She does this all the time.

At 4 months here's the information on her.

- Excellent sleeper. Will go down around 7:30 pm and won't make a peep until 6:30 am.

- Loves to suck on her hands. At times she has all fingers in her mouth and you can tell by the expression on her face that she's feeling her tongue. Sometimes she will gag herself trying to stick her entire hand in her mouth.

- Still gets the hiccups but not as frequent.

- Gives a little fake cry if she's left alone. Once you come back in the room she'll squeal, smile and kick her feet.

- In the past week she's discovered that she has feet. Likes to stare at them and tries to grab them

- Will reach and try to hit things. If she happens to get it, she'll pull it into her mouth.

- Will roll up on her side and get stuck and cry. Hasn't figured out that she can flip back over on her back. Hopefully rolling over will be coming soon.

- Doesn't like to be strapped down in her carseat. Will get fussy if left strapped in too long. (See previous post about the LONG trip home from Chicago)

- Loves to smile at her monkey mirror in the car. Will coo and talk to it.

- Tries to talk to us and will coo, gurgle and blow spit bubbles. I've started to put a bib on her during the day as she's drooling more.

- Still likes her paci. She likes it a bedtime or naptime and once asleep it falls out of her mouth.

- Smiles at Will a lot but will give Hayden a very cautious look whenever he gets close to her. Will give him smiles too but she wants to see what he's doing first before she'll do it. Hayden just adores her and still calls her "my Billy gurl".
